Links you would still want if Google vanished
Link building is where agencies quietly take the most risk with a client's domain. We earn placements through real relationships and content worth citing, on sites with actual readers, and we show you every target before anyone is contacted.
What usually went wrong before we arrived
Link building attracts more bad practice than any other part of search. These are the patterns we most often inherit.
- Hundreds of links from sites nobody reads
- The same exact anchor text repeated across every placement
- Links bought in bulk from a marketplace, all on the same footprint
- Guest posts on sites that exist only to sell guest posts
- Placements that vanished a month after being invoiced
- A competitor's profile that looks impossible to catch
- No idea which existing links are actually still live
- A manual action, or the quiet fear of one
Earned placements, and the work around them
Digital PR
Stories, data and commentary that publications want to cover on their own merits, pitched to journalists who cover that beat rather than a scraped list.
Relationship outreach
Genuine contact with site owners, editors and communities in your sector. Slower than buying links and the reason the placements survive.
Competitor gap analysis
Where your competitors earn links that you do not, which of those are realistically reachable, and which are noise you should ignore.
Backlink audit and cleanup
What you already have, what is live, what changed anchor text and what is actively harmful. Disavow only where it is genuinely warranted.
Monitoring
Every earned link tracked continuously. If one goes live, changes, loses its follow attribute or disappears, you hear about it from us first.
Brand mentions and AI citations
Unlinked mentions worth converting, and whether AI answer engines cite you when someone asks about your category.
You approve every target, before contact
The reason link building goes wrong is that it usually happens out of sight. You get an invoice and a spreadsheet of URLs, with no way to judge whether those sites have readers or exist purely to host paid links.
We invert that. You see the target list first, with the reasoning for each site, and you strike anything you are not comfortable with before a single email goes out. Anchor text is planned deliberately, because an over-optimized profile is one of the clearest patterns there is, and the fastest route to a penalty.
Afterwards, every link is monitored in our own platform. Placements disappearing quietly a few months later is common in this industry, and it is only visible if someone is actually watching.
Slower, and it lasts
Audit
We map what you already have, what your competitors have that you do not, and whether anything in the existing profile needs cleaning up first.
Target list
A list of realistic prospects with the reasoning for each. You approve, reject or add before any outreach begins.
Earn
We create the asset worth citing and do the outreach. Real pitches to real people, which means some say no, and that is normal.
Monitor
Every placement tracked continuously, with alerts if a link changes or drops, so nothing you paid for disappears unnoticed.
Before you get in touch
How many links will I get per month?
We do not guarantee a number, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Guaranteeing volume means buying volume, which means the marketplace and footprint problems that eventually cost you more than the links were worth. We agree a realistic range based on your sector and the assets we have to work with, and we would rather report four genuine placements than twenty worthless ones.
Do you buy links?
No. Some publishers charge a fee to consider a contribution, and that is an increasingly grey area we will discuss with you openly case by case. What we do not do is buy links from networks, marketplaces or sites that exist to sell placements, because that is the pattern search engines are best at detecting.
Is link building still worth it?
Yes, but it is no longer the whole job. Links still move competitive terms, and they increasingly influence whether AI answer engines treat you as a source worth citing. What has changed is that a hundred low quality links now do less than five genuinely relevant ones, so the economics favour doing less of it, better.
Can you fix a bad backlink profile?
Usually. We audit what is there, work out what is genuinely harmful versus what is merely low quality and harmless, and disavow only where it is warranted. Over-disavowing is its own mistake and we see it often. If there is a manual action in Search Console, that changes the plan and we will say so up front.
What if a placement disappears later?
We monitor every link we earn, so we usually see it before you do. If a site removes or alters a placement we investigate and, where it is reasonable, go back to them. Where it is not, we replace it. Links vanishing silently is one of the most common ways clients lose value they already paid for.
See the targets before you commit
Tell us your sector and your competitors. We will come back with a sample target list and an honest read on how reachable each one is.
